During my internship, I had the opportunity to work on several impactful projects. For the Bank of Ceylon, I contributed to the Loan Origination System (LOS) by identifying and resolving bugs, developing a complex formula calculator, and designing a master data handler. Additionally, I enhanced the Current Account and Savings Account (CASA) system by fixing bugs, integrating it with the Bank Vision Platform, and adding new features to improve functionality. I also worked on the Procurement Automation project for Sri Lankan Insurance, addressing client-reported issues to improve system performance.
At MillenniumIT ESP’s Finance Department, I developed a Bond Guarantee Approval System and a Vendor Payments Approval System, streamlining document management, approval workflows, and payment scheduling. Furthermore, I created a meeting management application for the Presidential Secretariat of Sri Lanka, which included scheduling, agenda creation, and task assignment features. For Centrium Marine, I developed an applicant tracking system to manage resume submissions, track applications, and schedule interviews.
Throughout my internship, I worked with various technologies and tools, including Java, JavaScript (React), Python, NodeJS, and Spring Boot for development, as well as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB for database management. I utilized automation platforms like IBM Business Automation Workflow and Filenet, implemented integration tools such as RESTful APIs, and used Git for version control and Jira for project management.
